DineFinder: A Comprehensive Restaurant Finder & Booking Application Abstract DineFinder is a mobile and web-based application designed to enhance the restaurant discovery and booking experience for users. The app integrates features such as restaurant search, menu browsing, special offers, reservation booking, and user reviews. By leveraging location-based services and social networking functionalities, DineFinder provides a seamless and efficient platform for food enthusiasts, travelers, and busy professionals. This research paper explores the theoretical foundations of restaurant mobile applications, their adoption factors, and the role of brand trust in user engagement.

Introduction The rapid growth of mobile technology has significantly influenced consumer behavior in the restaurant and hospitality industries. Restaurant search mobile apps, such as Yelp and Zomato, have transformed how users discover dining options and book reservations. However, existing applications often lack a unified platform that seamlessly integrates restaurant discovery, booking, and social networking features. This research explores the development of DineFinder, a comprehensive restaurant finder and booking application that addresses these limitations.

Literature Review Mobile Application Adoption in the Restaurant Industry Mobile applications have become essential tools for restaurant marketing and customer engagement. BaiH et al. (2021) state that restaurant search mobile apps have gained significant popularity due to their convenience and personalized recommendations (BaiH, 2021). The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) suggests that perceived usefulness and ease of use are critical factors influencing the adoption of restaurant-related mobile applications (Davis, 1989). Location-Based Restaurant Applications Location-based services (LBS) play a crucial role in restaurant search applications. Luhur and Widjaja (2014) highlight that integrating LBS with social networking features enhances user engagement by allowing customers to share their dining experiences in real-time (Luhur & Widjaja, 2014). Application Quality and Brand Trust The quality of mobile applications significantly impacts user adoption and retention. Albayrak et al. (2021) examined the impact of mobile application quality (MAQ) on user behavior, emphasizing the importance of system reliability, user interface, and brand trust in increasing user engagement (Albayrak et al., 2021). DineFinder aims to incorporate these elements to enhance user satisfaction and loyalty.

Research Methodology This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research techniques: Surveys and Questionnaires: To gather user preferences regarding restaurant discovery and booking features. Usability Testing: To evaluate the effectiveness and user-friendliness of the DineFinder prototype. Expert Interviews: Conducted with restaurant owners and hospitality professionals to assess the business impact of mobile restaurant applications.

System Design and Features Restaurant Search & Discovery DineFinder enables users to browse restaurants based on location, cuisine, ratings, and availability.
