"Failed to load System.Private.CoreLib.dll (error code 0x80131522)" when trying to start up

I'm getting an error when trying to run the exe under Win11. I thought maybe I needed the .NET SDK or something, so I installed that but didn't notice any difference.

Seems like a system issue.
Do you have visual studio installed? if so try run the installer and update/repair visual studio and build tools.
Could also try the classic:

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

This exe bundles in the .NET 9.0 runtime, but installing/repairing your installed SDK/runtime might help.

Tried both of those and sfc /scannow did fix some things, but I'm still having the issue (I also tried restarting Command Prompt then restarting my machine entirely and it didn't make any difference). The error code is the same.

Hrm, so I moved it to a different directory (C:\temp) and it seems to run okay from there.
