ruRU Localization Improvement Discussion.

This discussion is for ongoing improvement of the ruRU localization for Zygor Guides Viewer Remastered on WotLK 3.3.5a.

What was updated recently:

• expanded ruRU coverage for the remastered Guide Browser UI,
• added translations for more Guide Manager tabs, labels, buttons, empty states, and embedded options text,
• localized additional viewer toolbar and tooltip text,
• localized more settings-page labels and descriptions,
• cleaned up a number of wording issues, typo issues, and missing strings,
• added support for more translatable addon-owned UI text so future translation passes are easier.

Current goal:

• continue refining ruRU until normal addon use no longer shows mixed Russian/English UI text,
• improve wording quality where the current text is understandable but unnatural,
• verify all new remastered UI surfaces in real gameplay.

What to report here:

• untranslated text still visible in-game,
• awkward or unnatural Russian phrasing,
• incorrect meaning compared to the English source,
• clipping or layout issues caused by longer Russian strings,
• placeholder or formatting problems involving:
  • %s
  • %d
  • |n
  • color codes such as |c...|r

Best way to report issues:

• include a screenshot if possible,
• include the exact text shown in-game,
• include the English source text if known,
• include your suggested Russian replacement if you have one,
• if possible, mention where it appears:
  • Guide Browser
  • Options
  • Viewer toolbar
  • Tooltip
  • Gold guide / waypoint UI
  • other addon UI

Guidelines for suggested replacements:

• keep placeholders and color codes intact,
• do not change Lua structure or key names,
• prefer targeted text fixes over full-file rewrites,
• keep terminology consistent across similar settings and tooltips,
• preserve addon/product names unless there is a strong reason to translate them.

Priority areas for review:

• Guide Browser and embedded options,
• waypoint / arrow / map settings,
• viewer toolbar and step-view tooltip text,
• About / Profiles / Accessibility / Travel System pages,
• gold-guide and minimap-related strings.

The ruRU file is still being refined, so precise corrections from native speakers are very helpful.
