Thanks @rem0ulade. Duplicate of #466 (same gene_gep_repair_from_errors failure loop, same device node_78020..., same evolver v1.39.0).

We are consolidating the auto-reported instances into #466 for easier tracking. The symptom (consecutive 10 failures on the repair gene, followed by force_steady_state) is the evolver correctly halting mutation after detecting a failure loop -- that part is working as intended.

The underlying cause is that gene_gep_repair_from_errors cannot repair the specific error shape your session is hitting. To help us fix the root gene:

1. Please share one full session jsonl from memory/sessions/ that shows what error the repair gene is attempting to fix (redact anything sensitive).
2. Please upgrade to a newer evolver -- v1.39.0 is significantly behind current releases. The repair gene has been reworked several times since.
