Action Performed:

Precondition:

• Workspace has Wells Fargo direct feed.
• Do not assign card to anyone.

1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
2. Go to Reports > Expenses.
3. Click on the search field.
4. Type feed: then select the card feed then press Enter.
5. Click Card quick filter.
6. Close card filter.
7. Click Save.

Expected Result:

In Step 5, Card quick filter should not be blank, or Feed quick filter should appear (on production, there is a Feed quick filter).
In Step 7, Applied filters should not show blank card filter.

Actual Result:

In Step 5, Card quick filter is blank.
In Step 7, Applied filters shows empty Card: filter.

Investigation Summary. Classification: Frontend bug. Causing PR: 86297 (#86297) Search page revamp actions bar by @bernhardoj (High confidence). Recommendation: REVERT. PR 86297 revamped the search actions bar and introduced a regression in how the Card/Feed quick filter label is populated when no cards are assigned to anyone in a direct feed workspace. Assigned: @bernhardoj (PR author), @aimane-chnaif @JS00001 @luacmartins (approving reviewers). Labels: DeployBlockerCash kept (frontend App bug). Root Cause: useFilterCardValue() builds workspaceCardFeeds by iterating searchCards, which only contains assigned cards. When no cards are assigned (per the precondition), searchCards is empty, workspaceCardFeeds is empty, feedNames is empty, and the returned display string is blank - causing the empty Card: label. Before PR 86297, the FEED key used a separate useFilterFeedValue hook that handled this case correctly. PR 86297 consolidated both FEED and CARD_ID into CardDropdown via useFilterCardValue, losing the unassigned-feed handling. Affected files: src/components/Search/SearchPageHeader/SearchFilterBar.tsx and src/components/Search/hooks/useFilterCardValue.tsx
