Onboard card not shown on Home page

Coming from this session, the track intent user completes onboarding, but doesn't see the onboarding card on the Home page.

What is the root cause of that problem?

The GettingStartedSection (the onboarding card on the Home page) has an intent gate in useGettingStartedItems.ts:63-65 that only allows MANAGE_TEAM or TRACK_WORKSPACE intents:

    return emptyResult;
}

For "track intent" users, the selectable choices are TRACK_BUSINESS ('newDotTrackWorkspace') and TRACK_PERSONAL ('newDotTrackPersonalWorkspace'). TRACK_BUSINESS passes the check because it shares the same string value as TRACK_WORKSPACE. However, TRACK_PERSONAL users are excluded because 'newDotTrackPersonalWorkspace' is not in the allowed set.

Additionally, even for TRACK_BUSINESS users, the section can be hidden if NVP_FIRST_DAY_FREE_TRIAL hasn't been set by the backend yet when the Home page first renders (the isWithinGettingStartedPeriod check returns false when the value is undefined).

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

Depends on which sub-case is occurring:

1. If TRACK_PERSONAL users should see the card: Add CONST.ONBOARDING_CHOICES.TRACK_PERSONAL to the intent check at useGettingStartedItems.ts:63, and add a TRACK_PERSONAL-specific items block (similar to the TRACK_WORKSPACE block at line 88-107).

2. If this is a TRACK_BUSINESS user where NVP_FIRST_DAY_FREE_TRIAL arrives late: The section should handle the loading state for firstDayFreeTrial — currently it treats undefined as "no trial" rather than "still loading."

Investigation details

Data flow for track-intent onboarding:

1. User selects TRACK_BUSINESS or TRACK_PERSONAL on the purpose selection page
2. useAutoCreateTrackWorkspace creates a workspace and calls completeOnboarding
3. The engagementChoice sent to the backend is TRACK_PERSONAL ('newDotTrackPersonalWorkspace') or TRACK_WORKSPACE ('newDotTrackWorkspace') — see useAutoCreateTrackWorkspace.ts:63-64
4. This choice is persisted in NVP_INTRO_SELECTED.choice via ReportUtils.ts:12077-12086
5. On the Home page, useOnboardingIntent reads this value
6. The intent gate at line 63 rejects anything that isn't MANAGE_TEAM or TRACK_WORKSPACE

Full visibility conditions (all must pass):

• Intent is MANAGE_TEAM or TRACK_WORKSPACE (line 63)
• NVP_ACTIVE_POLICY_ID points to a valid paid group policy (line 67)
• User is admin of that policy (line 71)
• NVP_FIRST_DAY_FREE_TRIAL is set and within 60 days (line 75)

Constant values from CONST/index.ts:107-122:

• TRACK_BUSINESS = 'newDotTrackWorkspace' (same as TRACK_WORKSPACE — passes check)
• TRACK_PERSONAL = 'newDotTrackPersonalWorkspace' (distinct — fails check)
