Might as well stop Samba too. I figure that it doesn't hurt to be proactive & make a best-effort attempt at a "clean slate" before unmounting the USB drive(s).

Sorry for the delay, was playing with the log file check.
It's done now though.

This is approved, it's why i sent you the previous links, figured if you were gonna go down the stopping of nasapps may as well stop the others :)

Happy you found the info haha. Merged, don't even need to second guess, looks good :)

No worries. I actually went and took a break, then had dinner, watched some TV, talked with my wife, etc.

Yeah, one post reminded me of Samba running on the router. I've never used it myself since I already have 2 small NASes (Synology & QNAP), but I've read that the Samba service can be quite taxing on the router's CPU & RAM resources, so yeah thanks for the links.

As always, cleanup, flash, reboot, and the cleanup can for sure be one of the most important steps!

Any thoughts on: "ejusb -1 0 -u 1"

?

First Parameter (disk_port): This specifies which disk port you are referring to.

-1: Refers to all ports.
1: Refers to disk port 1.
2: Refers to disk port 2.
Second Parameter (NAS applications restart): This determines whether or not the NAS (Network Attached Storage) applications should be restarted.

0: Do not restart NAS applications.
1: Restart NAS applications.
Other Parameters:

-u: This is used for holding or unplugging the disk after unmount jobs are done. The default value is 1.
0: Hold the disk after unmount.
1: Unplug the disk after unmount.

I've never used this command so I don't know exactly how it works & what they mean by "NAS applications."
Is "NAS applications" referring to the "nasapps" already being shut down via the service call?
IMO, it would be best to find out more details before using a call that it's unfamiliar ( at least to me).

I was actually kinda hoping you had more information on it lol.
That's all I was able to dig up so far lol, I tested and the parameters work on my router as described, but that's all I know HAHAHA

I'd say let's "put it in our back pocket" for now until we find out. I think we have other wrinkles to iron out first.
