Fallboard Studios is a solo creative effort by Crawford Forbes, focused on building interactive art, games, and generative music projects. Each project explores new ways for users to engage with narrative, sound, and play.
A narrative universe where humanity has vanished, but their robotic creations persist. The Still Echo is a web-based map connecting multiple planets and apps, each with its own interactive experience.
- Pelagos-7: Underwater mining robots create generative music as they move and interact. Repository
- Web Game (TBA): Play as a robot on a different planet, exploring and interacting in a browser-based game.
- Card Game (TBA): A racing-themed board game set on another planet, where players control robots by playing cards. (Physical game with web presence)
A standalone app that converts text into music. Originally prototyped 10 years ago, with plans for a future rebuild. Not part of The Still Echo.
