Logic Defender - SSC 2025 Submission

🎮 Game Description

Logic Defender is an educational tower-defense game that introduces players to the fundamentals of logic gates in a fun and interactive way. Players must strategically manipulate logic gate inputs to produce the correct outputs, effectively "defeating" them. This game makes learning about digital electronics accessible and engaging, helping players develop a deeper understanding of how basic logic circuits work.

🕹️ Gameplay

  • Defend the Circuit: Logic gates appear as enemies, each with unique behavior based on their truth tables.
  • Manipulate Inputs: Players interact with the gates by adjusting their inputs to make the output 1, defeating the gate.
  • Increasing Challenge: As the game progresses, enemies spawn more frequently, requiring quicker thinking and better strategies.
  • Educational & Fun: By playing, users reinforce their knowledge of logic gates in an immersive experience.

🎯 Why I Made This Game

I created Logic Defender because of my strong interest in digital electronics, which I discovered during my second year of college. While working on practical experiments in the lab, I was fascinated by how simple logic gates serve as the building blocks of modern technology. Everything from computers to smartphones and industrial automation relies on these fundamental components.

By turning this concept into a game, I hope to make learning about logic gates more accessible and engaging for students and enthusiasts. Many people find electronics intimidating, but by gamifying the learning process, I believe more players can appreciate and understand how digital circuits function.

👨‍💻 My Background

I am a final-year student majoring in Electronics and Instrumentation with a strong passion for both game development and digital electronics. I have prior experience in developing games and have always been interested in art, design, and illustration. Combining these interests, I built Logic Defender entirely on my own—from coding and design to game mechanics and UI/UX.

In addition to this, I have worked on various tech projects, including building a micro-sleep detection tool for drivers using computer vision and machine learning, developing health-focused applications as part of the Apple Developer Academy, and creating websites to assist rural communities.

🛠️ Built with Swift Playgrounds

Logic Defender was developed using Swift Playgrounds, making it an accessible and interactive experience for iOS users. Swift Playgrounds allowed me to rapidly prototype, test, and refine the game, ensuring smooth animations and intuitive gameplay mechanics.

I am excited to share Logic Defender as part of SSC 2025, and I hope it inspires others to explore the world of digital electronics through gaming! 🚀
