Multi line edit in stack add compose section

Hi,
I notice that when I select a word in the editor it selects all similar words in the editor. Is there a way I can change all instances at once? Like I can do in VS Code with CTRL-SFT-L?

That editor is CodeMirror, and Dockhand already includes CodeMirror's search keymap there.

So the shortcut to try is the CodeMirror equivalent of VS Code's "select all occurrences":

Windows/Linux: Ctrl+Shift+L
macOS: Cmd+Shift+L

The reason selecting a word highlights the other matches is highlightSelectionMatches(). The command that turns those highlighted matches into multiple selections comes from searchKeymap, which Dockhand includes in the editor setup.

There is also a next-occurrence shortcut:

Windows/Linux: Ctrl+D
macOS: Cmd+D

If Ctrl+Shift+L does nothing, it is probably being intercepted by the browser, desktop environment, or a browser extension before CodeMirror receives it. I do not see a Dockhand-specific toolbar button or custom binding for this in the compose editor, so the built-in CodeMirror shortcuts are the path that should work.

Thank you so much for a great reply.
I did do a bit of a search before adding my question here so had tried Ctrl+Shift+L but it doesn’t work.
I didn’t think it may be being intercepted. I’ll try an incognito or other browser when I get back.

This was on my Win11 setup so I’ll also try on my MacBook to see if there’s any change there.

Does the Ctrl+Shift+L work for you or anyone reading this?
