Mastodon on Unraid – FixFlare

Installing Mastodon on Unraid using Docker using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Nginx.

When running the third bash command I get the following error:

rake aborted!
KeyError: key not found: "OTP_SECRET"

Any idea how to resolve this?

Just got this running on my unraid server in a docker container. Pretty stoked that I was able to figure it all out.

There's now a Mastodon docker from linuxserver in the Unraid app store. Easiest way to install. Got it up and running in under 30 min. Just be sure the read the forum post at Unraid for some suggestions: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/74350-request-mastodon/?do=findComment&comment=1189799

There really isn't much in the way of a walkthrough, unfortunately. But if you've set up containers before in Unraid it should be pretty straightforward. PM me on the Unraid forum (thunderclap) and I can try and help you out.

Make sure that your reverse proxy is using https instead of http for mastodon. It redirects to a secure connection I believe.
