@VermeerschD This should probably be raised against the Node-RED repo, not FlowFuse.

But I believe this was discussed at the time and the choice was made because the pausing is on a per editor instance (e.g. 2 users can have the editor open at the same time and it only pauses for the user that triggers it) and that a buffer will just end up leaking memory.
