Feature description

Api for thirdparty apps to store and read some custom information.
e.g. define a Notification setting, where third aprty apps could read this setting and know what contacts need a notification if new messages arrive. E.g. Discussion Mozilla connect

Why do you want this feature?

There are some cases, where I want ben notified if messages for some contacts arrive?
And this setting should be synced across devices.

I think that's out of scope for Fossify Contacts, and that API will be useless unless third-party apps commit to using it. It'll be easier for such apps to simply request the system-level contacts permission and go from there.

I would suggest using groups/labels for such contacts and then point your third-party to those contact groups.
