the iOS app doesnt save the waypoints

Hello,

For some reason the iOS app now only saves a few GPS points per day. This causes the map to look weird with straight lines between distant points instead of showing the actual route.

Previously I could see the exact paths I was driving or walking, but now the app no longer stores that level of detail. Also, if I stay at one location the whole day, it doesn't save any points at all. I would expect it to periodically record points even when stationary.
Is there a setting I might have wrong? Or has something changed in how the app handles location tracking?
