This guide explains how to join teams and accept team invitations in GT AI OS.
When you're invited to a team:
- A badge with a number appears on the Teams button in the sidebar
- The number shows how many pending invitations you have
- Click Teams to view and respond to invitations
View all pending invitations:
- Go to Teams in the sidebar
- Pending invitations appear at the top of the page
- Each invitation shows the team name and who invited you
- Find the invitation (via notification or Teams page)
- Review the team details:
- Team name and description
- Who invited you
- What role you're being offered
- Click Accept
- You're now a team member
If you don't want to join:
- Find the invitation
- Click Decline
- Optionally provide a reason
When you join, you're assigned a role:
| Role | What You Can Do |
|---|---|
| Member | Use shared resources, view team info |
| Contributor | Use resources AND share own resources with the team |
| Manager | Manage members, invite users, view Observable activity |
| Owner | Full control, delete team, transfer ownership |
- Your role is set by whoever invited you
- Typically new members start as Members
- Owners or Managers can change your role later
After joining:
- Check what agents are shared
- Review available datasets
- Understand team workflows
- Introduce yourself to team members
- Ask about team workflows and expectations
- Learn how the team uses shared resources
- Read team documentation
- Ask team managers about best practices
- Understand team-specific guidelines
- Go to Teams in the sidebar
- See all teams you belong to
- Click a team to view details
Each team shows:
- Team name and description
- Member count
- Your role
- Shared resources
- Go to Teams in the sidebar
- Click on the team
- Click Leave Team
- Confirm your decision
- You lose access to team resources
- Your personal resources remain yours
- Team resources you created stay with the team
- You can be re-invited later
If you're the only owner:
- You must transfer ownership before leaving
- Or promote another member to owner
- Teams need at least one owner
- Look for the badge on the Teams button in the sidebar
- Verify the correct email was used for the invitation
- Ask the inviter to resend the invitation
- Ensure you're logged in
- Check if the invitation expired
- Contact the team admin
- Give the system a moment to update
- Try logging out and back in
- Contact your team admin
