Joining Teams

This guide explains how to join teams and accept team invitations in GT AI OS.

Finding Team Invitations

Sidebar Badge

When you're invited to a team:

1. A badge with a number appears on the Teams button in the sidebar
2. The number shows how many pending invitations you have
3. Click Teams to view and respond to invitations

Teams Page

View all pending invitations:

1. Go to Teams in the sidebar
2. Pending invitations appear at the top of the page
3. Each invitation shows the team name and who invited you

Accepting Invitations

How to Accept

1. Find the invitation (via notification or Teams page)
2. Review the team details:
   • Team name and description
   • Who invited you
   • What role you're being offered
3. Click Accept
4. You're now a team member

Declining Invitations

If you don't want to join:

1. Find the invitation
2. Click Decline
3. Optionally provide a reason

Understanding Your Role

Team Roles

When you join, you're assigned a role:

Role	What You Can Do
Member	Use shared resources, view team info
Contributor	Use resources AND share own resources with the team
Manager	Manage members, invite users, view Observable activity
Owner	Full control, delete team, transfer ownership

Role Assignments

• Your role is set by whoever invited you
• Typically new members start as Members
• Owners or Managers can change your role later

Your First Steps as a Team Member

1. Explore Team Resources

After joining:

• Check what agents are shared
• Review available datasets
• Understand team workflows

2. Connect with Your Team

• Introduce yourself to team members
• Ask about team workflows and expectations
• Learn how the team uses shared resources

3. Get Oriented

• Read team documentation
• Ask team managers about best practices
• Understand team-specific guidelines

Viewing Your Teams

Finding Your Teams

1. Go to Teams in the sidebar
2. See all teams you belong to
3. Click a team to view details

Team Details

Each team shows:

• Team name and description
• Member count
• Your role
• Shared resources

Leaving a Team

How to Leave

1. Go to Teams in the sidebar
2. Click on the team
3. Click Leave Team
4. Confirm your decision

What Happens When You Leave

• You lose access to team resources
• Your personal resources remain yours
• Team resources you created stay with the team
• You can be re-invited later

Ownership Consideration

If you're the only owner:

• You must transfer ownership before leaving
• Or promote another member to owner
• Teams need at least one owner

Troubleshooting

Invitation Not Appearing

• Look for the badge on the Teams button in the sidebar
• Verify the correct email was used for the invitation
• Ask the inviter to resend the invitation

Can't Accept Invitation

• Ensure you're logged in
• Check if the invitation expired
• Contact the team admin

Access Issues After Joining

• Give the system a moment to update
• Try logging out and back in
• Contact your team admin
