Packages

You can easily install Gahshomar using Flatpak on any modern Linux distribution.

Install Flatpak.
Add the Gnome repository: flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists --from gnome https://sdk.gnome.org/gnome.flatpakrepo
Download the latest .flatpak file from the release page.
Install the downloaded .flatpak file: flatpak install -y gahshomar-version.flatpak.
- You may need to log out and log in again to see Gahshomar in your installed apps.
Optionally:
- Install Gahshomar's Gnome Shell extension if you use Gnome Shell.
- If you don't use Gnome Shell, You can enable an appindicator or a tray icon from Gahshomar's Preferences page.

To update your flatpak installation:

flatpak uninstall org.gahshomar.Gahshomar
flatpak install gahshomar-new-version.flatpak

Thanks to OpenSUSE build service, Gahshomar is available for most Linux distributions and it is available here: https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home:183amir&package=gahshomar You can either add the repository in your machine for automatic future updates or just download the binary package.

Gahshomar is also available in AUR.

You need the jcal (libjalali-dev in ubuntu) library in order to build this program.

Other dependencies are (you probably already have them): Libpeas, PyGObject, GTK+, and Python 3

Once you have the dependencies installed, download the source code from github or download the latest release from the releases page and type:

./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr
# or if you do not have the autogen.sh file.
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
sudo make install

Also if you keep source folder, you can uninstall the program later using:

sudo make uninstall
