##Is PEX supported?

No. PEX is outdated and will not be supported natively until it has been updated. However, permissions plugins are only used to display a player's rank, and RanksReloaded will allow you to execute any commands when a player achieves a rank, this means that you will be allowed to use pex commands.

##Will other permissions plugins be supported?

Only well known and reliable plugins will be supported, and supported will be added when a new permissions plugin becomes popular. Other plugins can be supported by request.

Do I actually need to have a permissions plugin?

Yes, if you want players to be able to progress. RanksReloaded is not a permissions plugin.
