Short description

Explore the functional and geometric aspects of spatial prepositions from geometric/visual properties of targets and landmarks.

The scope / questions

• Pick a fair set of prepositions and study the measure on these cases.
• Can we measure functional and geometricity of prepositions based on the bounding box information in visual genome?
• Can we measure functional and geometricity of prepositions based on the visual vectors produced by pre-trained CNN modesl such as VGG or ResNet in visual genome?

How we can do this?

• Measure variance and mean for all bounding box dimensions. Average variance as a measure of geometricity?
• Use AVS representation of bounding boxes and repeat variance test on them.
