Support
Support for PandaWorks AutoLoot is handled through the PandaWorks Discord.
Discord is the main place for:
- Bug reports
- Testing feedback
- Install help
- Configuration questions
- Compatibility discussion
- General PWAL discussion

Check the wiki first.
At minimum, read:
- Getting Started
- Installation
- Quick Start
- Core Concepts
- Space Salvage
- Terminal Menus
- Destinations
- Loot Categories
- Troubleshooting
If the answer is already in the wiki, you may be pointed back to the wiki.
That is not rudeness.
That is the documentation doing its job.
If you are reporting a bug, include useful information.
Good bug reports help fix problems.
Bad bug reports waste time and summon the void.
Include:
- PWAL version
- Starfield version
- Platform
- Mod manager used
- Whether the plugin is enabled
- Whether scripts installed correctly
- Which optional PWAL add-ons are installed, if any
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- Where you were in-game
- Which loot category was involved
- Which source type was involved
- Which destination was selected
- Whether looting was enabled
- Whether the issue repeats
- Any useful log output
If you are reporting a routing issue, include the exact item name, where you expected it to go, and every destination you checked.
For space salvage issues, include:
- PWAL version
- Whether you are using version 1.1.2 or newer
- Whether it involved asteroid deposits, space cargo, or destroyed hostile ship debris
- Whether looting was enabled
- Whether the related space salvage feature was enabled, if separately configurable
- Whether you had a valid home ship
- Whether you checked Player Ship Cargo
- Whether another asteroid looter, ship debris looter, or auto-looter is installed
- Whether the issue happened with one test source or a large combat/salvage pile
- Whether other space salvage types worked in the same session
Supported space salvage routes into Player Ship Cargo.
Do not report space salvage as missing until you have checked ship cargo.
Current PWAL behavior routes contraband to the Lodge Safe.
For contraband issues, include:
- PWAL version
- Whether you checked the Lodge Safe
- Whether the contraband appeared in player inventory
- Whether the contraband appeared in ship cargo
- Whether a contraband scan occurred afterward
- Whether another mod affects contraband, ship cargo, storage, crime, scans, or containers
- Whether you moved the contraband manually after PWAL collected it
PandaWorks Inventory is being reviewed because it became visible to the contraband scanner unexpectedly.
Until that behavior is fully understood and corrected, Lodge Safe routing is the safer current behavior.
Do not post things like:
- “It does not work.”
- “Looting broken.”
- “My stuff disappeared.”
- “Fix this.”
- “Your mod ate my save.”
Those are not useful reports.
They do not explain what happened, what settings were used, what item was involved, what source type was involved, what destination was selected, or what the game state was.
The panda cannot debug a scream.
Good ground loot report:
“PWAL v1.1.2. Looting enabled. Junk category enabled. Junk destination set to PandaWorks Inventory. Tested in New Atlantis. Loose junk nearby did not move. PandaWorks Inventory checked. Other categories worked. Issue repeated after reload.”
Good space salvage report:
“PWAL v1.1.2. Looting enabled. Tested destroyed hostile ship debris after combat in orbit. Player has valid home ship. Checked Player Ship Cargo and salvage did not appear. Logging enabled. Asteroid deposits worked in the same session. No other ship debris looter installed.”
Good contraband report:
“PWAL v1.1.2. Contraband looted. Checked Lodge Safe first. Contraband did not appear there. Player inventory and ship cargo were also checked. A contraband scan occurred afterward. No other contraband or cargo mods installed.”
That gives enough information to start investigating.
If you need install help, say how you installed the mod.
Include:
- Vortex, MO2, Creations, or manual install
- Whether the plugin is enabled
- Whether the terminal appears in the Weapons section
- Whether the Utility Device appears
- Whether optional PWAL add-ons are installed
- Whether other mods are installed
- Whether this is a new save or existing save
If the main terminal does not appear, say that first.
If the terminal appears but looting does not work, say that instead.
Those are different problems.
If PWAL is not looting what you expect, check your settings before asking for help.
Check:
- Looting is enabled.
- The category is enabled.
- The source type is supported.
- The item is in range, if range applies.
- The location is allowed.
- The destination is configured.
- The item is not forced to a specific destination.
- The item did not route somewhere else.
PWAL routes loot.
That means items may go to PandaWorks Inventory, Player Ship Cargo, Lodge Safe, or another supported destination instead of the player.
Supported space salvage routes into Player Ship Cargo.
Current contraband routing uses the Lodge Safe.
Check the correct destination before calling loot missing.
If you think another mod is causing a problem, include:
- The other mod name
- Load order information
- What PWAL setting was involved
- What item, container, corpse, harvestable, scanner source, or space salvage source was involved
- Whether the issue happens without that mod
- Whether the other mod changes items, containers, leveled lists, scripts, inventory, ship cargo, contraband, scans, storage, or UI
Compatibility reports without details are just spooky campfire stories.
Do not blindly stack PWAL with other auto-looters, asteroid looters, or ship debris looters and then report the result as a PWAL bug.
If two mods try to process the same inventory source, whichever one runs first may drain the loot before the other one sees it.
Logs are useful for real bug reports.
If logging is enabled and something goes wrong, include the relevant section.
Do not paste an entire galaxy of log spam unless asked.
Find the part where the issue happens and include that.
PWAL is in active public release.
Core systems are working, including ground looting, containers, corpses, destination routing, utility access, transfer utilities, scanner-based loot support, and supported space salvage.
Testing and polish are still ongoing.
Some features may still have rough edges.
Some behavior may change.
Some menus may be adjusted.
Some routing rules may be refined.
Some Bethesda-flavored gremlins may still crawl out of the vents.
That does not mean the mod is broken.
It means the framework is active, expanding, and being maintained.
Keep support useful.
- Be specific.
- Be patient.
- Read the wiki first.
- Do not spam the same issue repeatedly.
- Do not report forced routing rules as bugs.
- Do not report disabled categories as broken.
- Do not report missing loot until you checked all destinations.
- Do not report space salvage missing until you checked Player Ship Cargo.
- Do not report contraband missing until you checked the Lodge Safe.
- Do not expect support for broken manual installs with half the files missing.
- Do not expect support for conflicts caused by stacking multiple mods that process the same loot source.
The panda helps those who bring usable information.
