Thanks for the report, this was a real bug and not a config issue. tuios asks your terminal for focus events and was passing them to the daemon, but it only used them for notifications. It never told the pane. So Neovim heard about moves between panes and workspaces, but not about you switching to another app. I've fixed it in #1131, and it's on main now. The focused pane gets FocusLost when the terminal window loses focus and FocusGained when it comes back. If you have the same session open in two terminals, the pane only loses focus once neither of them has it. It'll be in the next release. Once you're on that, this in your config gives you the autosave you're after: autocmd FocusLost * silent! wallThanks again for the clear write-up, the herdr comparison helped! |

I verified the fix. Thank you for your amazingly fast response. As an aside, I was pleasantly surprised to find that tuios renders the curly underline color correctly (herdr does not render the curly underline color). Verified with: |
Uh oh!

tuios does not appear to trigger the Neovim
FocusLostevent when focus moves between panes or to another application (but it does trigger it when you move to another tuios pane or workspace). TheFocusLostevent allows you to configure Neovim to auto-save files when Neovim focus is lost. So, for example, if you switch from a Neovim pane to a Lazygit pane, Lazygit won't pickup Neovim edits unless they have been explicitly saved.tuios: v0.10.1

herdr does not have this limitation.
