For a tuios hosts sync NAME --dry-run
tuios hosts sync NAME --restartSync targets the controller's version and can restart a daemon whose version differs, even when its binary on disk is already current. It requests confirmation when sessions exist. Running programs end and layouts return with new shells. If it's already stopped, Are you using federated |

Hi, and thanks to @sueun-dev for the pointers. I will add what is missing. You need to stop the daemon from outside the connection it serves. If the host is in your tuios hosts sync NAME --restartIt saves every session, restarts the daemon on the host, and the layouts come back. Use Two things to know about a restart:
If you only want to restart the daemon and not install anything, SSH to the host once and run I am also working on a live upgrade of the daemon, so a new binary can take over without ending the programs in your panes. It is not released yet. When it lands, it should remove most of the reasons to restart. Which kind of connection do you use: |

After updating tuios on the remote host, it’s necessary to run
kill-serverto apply the changes. However, when I access the remote host via tuios and execute this command, the connection gets terminated. I then have to manually SSH into the remote host and useattachorstart-serverto restore tuios functionality. I wonder if there’s any way to achieve “restarting the daemon and re-establishing the connection” directly while connected to the remote host through tuios—perhaps via a command likerestart-server?All reactions
