I mean could the igniter install be updated to support that also?

We have released (but not really publicised) https://github.com/team-alembic/phx_install which is a composable igniter based version of the Phoenix installers. TL;DR it allows you to add Phoenix to a standard Elixir project rather than be forced to start with Phoenix scaffold.

You could definitely take the same approach with mob_new
