Genie 5 — v5.0.0-alpha.3.6
Interim alpha. Thanks to @dylb0t for a contribution in this cut (#67).
Highlights since alpha.3.5
- Mapper: room/zone tags +
#goto @tagnearest-by-tag routing. - Scripting:
$roomid/$zoneid/$zonenamenow exposed from the mapper (#45, #67); paused/delayed scripts resume reliably (#61);#edit <script>opens the script for editing instead of running it (#63). - UI: Character-Account identity in the title bar + profile picker (#4); browser-style multi-line select & copy in the Game window (#34).
- Docking: draggable centre splitters; drag-redock survives float/close (#35).
- Windowing: windowed (MDI) document mode with Genie 4-style window decorations (#52).
- Config: per-profile settings with a global fallback (#60); script output classified as Script Lines (#57); Room-panel field wrapping (#58).

⚠️ These builds are not code-signed
Expect a first-launch OS warning on this alpha:
- Windows: SmartScreen "unknown publisher" — click More info → Run anyway.
- macOS: Gatekeeper may block the first open — right-click the app → Open, or clear quarantine with
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine <app>.
Code signing with a trusted certificate is planned for a future release.
