Recently I've been working for a conference, and missed some updates. I'm very thankful that the awesome community left #116, #117, #123, all compatibility patches that allow us to seamlessly transition to 0.107.1.

I am picking it up right now, and I've brought news.

AgenticSTS

Our repository is cited by AgenticSTS, another agent system that plays Slay the Spire 2 with LLMs. AgenticSTS promises lower token cost and better gameplay experience in an academic context.

This can provide another option for STS2 agent gameplay. From the written numbers, the performance is appealing to me.

I haven't tested it yet. Integration of memory / skill system sounds neat to me!

Would love to hear your thoughts on this, especially if you have tried both harnesses.

Future Updates

@fanqiNO1, a previous collaborator of mine, expressed a short of passion on STS2MCP. With his heavier IRL workload recently, all his ongoing work will be taken over by me. I am grateful to his early-day contributions.

For all contributors on this project, I am really bad at this, but I am thankful to all of your dedication. To be honest, I thought about abandoning the project for once due to the lack of support - but I still believe in STS2MCP's goal and believe that long-running co-op strategy games is the start of an era in LLM gaming.

I have now allocated dedicated timeslots for STS2MCP, so expect a round of bug squashes and quick fixes:

1. Refine wiki support;
2. Add run-logging support so that traces can be shared and learned by agents;
3. Create our own official benchmark for modern LLMs.

Discord

I'm thinking of setting up a discord server dedicated to playing Slay the Spire 2 with agents, where developers, players and everyone in between can discuss about the runs on a platform that everyone's familiar with. However, I am not skilled enough to manage a Discord server. If you would like to be the host, let me know and let's get the party started!
