@EHJ-52n no specific reason. No problem upgrading to Redis 8 if no relevant changes to code and configurations are required. Did you already test it? |

I am not sure about the code changes, but maybe someone more into the connection between redis ←→ celery←→ GeoNode can review https://github.com/redis/redis/releases/tag/8.0.0. Is the new license a problem?
I will try redis 8 as a GeoNode user and report about occuring problems here. |

The current version of redis in the GeoNode deployment is
7-alpine|7.4.8-alpine3.21. The latest alpine based version available is8.6.2-alpine3.23|8-alpine.Is there any specific reason to stay on the redis 7 line?
