Mute channel seems working as feature but UI is not reflecting it

Describe the bug
After I muted a channel, I see nothing changed in UI to highlight this (no icon as did in v6).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to channel list
2. Long press on a channel to see the option
3. Click on Mute
4. Channel seems muted but nothing changed on the UI

Expected behavior
After I muted a channel, I want to see an icon in the UI to highlight this, as we did in v6.

Device:

• Vendor and model: Any

Hey @geolyth, in v7 you can trigger two different mute actions through the channels list:

• Mute channel: available for both group and 1:1 channels on swipe on the channel
• Mute user: available only for 1:1 channels on long press

We currently don't display an icon for muted users in the channel list, only for muted channels (for both 1:1 and group conversations). Does this match what you're seeing?

@gpunto Thanks for this comment, I discovered other behaviors:

1. using the swipe method, muted icon works for both (users and channels)
2. using menu on user do not show the muted icon

No problem for the video! That's the current behavior. We do not show an icon for user mutes in the channel list (we only toggle the action text "Mute/Unmute"). We will verify this behavior internally and decide what to do.

Ok but the issue is that using the swipe the muted icons work for both...using the menu no :)
So I think it could be a bug on this.

Quick clarification on what's happening behind the scenes: "Mute" appears in both places but they're two different actions:

	Swipe → Mute	Long-press → Mute (1:1 only)
What it mutes	The channel (this conversation)	The user (the person)
Scope	Just this channel	Any message from them, in any shared channel
Available on	Group and 1:1	1:1 only

They're independent flags in different places: long-press doesn't touch the channel, swipe doesn't touch the user. That's why the icon only appears for one of them today.

Agreed that in a 1:1 the visual cue should match either intent, though. We verified internally and decided to update the channel list so the mute icon shows when either the channel is muted or (in a 1:1) the other user is muted: #6449.

Heads-up on the new behavior: since the two flags are independent, if both are set, unmuting one will not hide the icon: you have to unmute both.
