Rad Pro web installer: Custom firmware

Hi together,

I compiled my own binary for my FS-5000 and tried to download with the bootloader. But there seems to be only the web downloader which downloads predefined binaries to the device. How can I download a custom ROM with the bootloader and not always using the ST-Link? Is there a python script or something like that?

Modifying the web installer to support drag-and-drop file uploads shouldn't be too hard.

I'll try implementing this feature when I have the time.

I've just added custom firmware support to the https://gissio.github.io/radpro-installer/. You just need to drag the .bin file to the UI.

I've also improved device reset after flashing.

Please let me know if both things work allright.

Ok it proceeds further, but still stops with an error:

The error you're seeing is actually the reason I attempted to change the device reset behavior.

Could you record a short video that shows both the web installer's screen and the physical device? Ideally, capture the moment when flashing completes and the device restarts.

Video is a bit tricky atm. But the device seem to restart two times. Contrary to the previous behavior it now runs again and need not to be turned on.
Btw, can you improve the text on Step 3, maybe something like:
"Now, select your preferred options to reinstall Rad Pro 3.0.2 or drop a custom binary here:"

I think I found the culprit. Can you try again? Remember to refresh the web installer with Ctrl+Shift+R.

dc1rdb: The web installer is only intended for Bosean/GQ devices. So that error is correct.
