Installation Guide

HomeArcade is distributed as a Home Assistant Add-on.

Prerequisites

  • A working Home Assistant OS or Supervised installation.
  • amd64 or aarch64 hardware (Raspberry Pi 4/5, Intel NUC, etc.).
  • At least 500MB of disk space for the initial build.

1. Add the Repository

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Add-ons.
  2. Click the Add-on Store button.
  3. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right and select Repositories.
  4. Paste the following URL: https://github.com/GlerschNersch/token
  5. Click Add and then close the dialog.

2. Install the Add-on

  1. Find HomeArcade in the store list (it may take a moment to appear).
  2. Click Install.
  3. Note: The first installation can take 2–10 minutes as it compiles native SQLite bindings for your specific hardware.

3. Final Setup

  1. Once installed, click Start.
  2. Enable Show in sidebar for quick access.
  3. Open the Web UI and you are ready to upload your first ROM!
