Events (General Properties)

General Properties are common options available for all Events. Note that a few Events have slightly different General Properties that are discussed in that Event's respective help page.

Event Name is the unique name you give to the Event to refer to it within the Editor.

Lore/XP/Threat rewards are optional rewards given to the players after the Event is activated, regardless of whether the Event itself produces some kind of positive or negative outcome. The Threat reward reduces the current Threat by the amount you choose.

Token Interaction Groups allow you to group Events together. They are an optional feature used in Tile Blocks when you want the Events in that Block to be randomly chosen from the group and have their associated Tokens randomly placed on the tiles in the Block. To put an Event into a group, simply append "GRP#" to the end of the Event Name, where # is any number. For example, "light fire GRP1", without the quotes, will put that Event into a group called GRP1. You can put as many Events into a group as you wish. In the Tile Block, you can specify how many Events from that group are actually used (randomly chosen). An Event can only be used in a Token Interaction Group if it's marked as a Token Interaction (see below). See the Tile Blocks help topic for details.

Marking an Event as a Token Interaction will allow you to associate the Event with a Token on a tile using the Token Editor. Players can interact with its Token with one of their Actions, which in turn activates the Event. With this option UNCHECKED, the Event can only be activated by being Triggered (Triggered By). As a Token Interaction, you can select what kind of Token will represent it on the board - Person, Search, Threat, or Darkness. Choosing the Person type will show additional properties - Human, Elf, Hobbit, or Dwarf.

The Triggered By option allows you to select the Trigger that activates the Event. This option is only available if the Event is NOT marked as a Token Interaction, since Token Interactions are activated by a Token on the board. Multiple Events can be Triggered By the same Trigger, but only one of them will be randomly chosen to activate.

The Set Trigger After Event Is Resolved option lets you fire a Trigger after the Event is activated.

The Event Text is the text that is shown to the players when the Event is activated.

The Flavor Text is only used if the Event is a Token Interaction, and it's shown to players when they interact with its Token on the board. Use it to hint at the Event.
