Below is a general workflow you can follow when creating your Scenarios. To help keep track of components, you should give descriptive names to everything you add. It's also recommended that you work through one Chapter at a time, setting up all Events that Chapter will be using.
- Change the Title
- Add/Remove Threat thresholds
- Set the First Objective (optional)
- Edit the Introduction Text
- Edit the Resolution Text
- A new Scenario project starts with a Default Objective created for you
- Use the creation buttons to add more Objectives you'll need to tell your story
- Edit your Objectives - Name, Reminder Text, Summary
- Create/Set the Trigger that, when fired, will mark this Objective as "completed"
- (Optional) Create/Assign a Trigger the Objective will fire when complete
- Every Scenario has to have at least 1 Chapter to start on, and it's created for you when you begin a new Scenario
- The Start Chapter is special in that none of the Properties apply to it, except creating tiles
- Use the creation buttons to add Events
- Edit the Flavor and Event Text
- Change tabs in the window and edit the specific properties of your Event type
- Wire up any Triggers as needed
- If an Event is going to have a Person/Search/Threat/Darkness Token assigned to it on the gameboard, be sure to check it as a Token Interaction
- Use the Tile Editor to add/remove/position tiles in the Chapter
- Be sure to check Is Starting Tile for the tile you want the players to start on
- Access the Token Editor by double clicking a tile in the Tile Editor, or selecting a tile and clicking Edit Tokens
- Add and position Tokens within the tile - they will be colored gray until assigned an Event
- Assign the Events you created and checked as Token Interactions to the Tokens
- The Token will change color depending on the Token Type you gave it
- Add more Chapters and go through the process again until your story is told
- Don't forget to save your project!
