Code of Conduct

Our pledge

GlycemicGPT is a project built by and for people living with diabetes. We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our standards

Expected behavior:

  • Be respectful and empathetic -- many contributors are patients managing a chronic condition
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Accept responsibility for mistakes and learn from them
  • Focus on what is best for the community and patient safety

Unacceptable behavior:

  • Harassment, trolling, or personal attacks
  • Publishing others' private information (especially medical data)
  • Providing specific medical advice to other users (we are not healthcare providers)
  • Any conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Medical safety

This project deals with diabetes management. Comments and contributions that could lead to unsafe medical decisions will be moderated with extra care. When in doubt, err on the side of caution and direct users to consult their healthcare provider.

Enforcement

Instances of unacceptable behavior may be reported to the project maintainers at the Discussions board or by contacting the maintainer directly. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated.

Project maintainers have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions that violate this Code of Conduct.

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
