Attemtping to Add a Second Artboard crashes.

To reproduce, I created a new document, then clicked on the button on the top right to "add an operation to this..." then searched for artboard and clicked it.

In my screenshot, I noticed that the arboard has been added as a child of the active layer, and was able to drag it to the root, and things started working again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a report. But this is the expected behavior, you can't put an artboard in an artboard. This isn't a crash, it's just telling you that the data types are invalid. We will filter out adding nodes with invalid types in the Add an operation to the end of this layer's chain of nodes button but that's a separate issue, so I'll close this a non-actionable. But you're right to bring attention to the need for that filtering as part of our goal to avoid changes outside the node graph from causing an invalid graph. Thanks!

What is the correct way to add multiple art boards?

I dragged the new art board to the root of the layer menu, but now don't seem to be able to access it.

I can create a third, but the second one seems to be missing?

Can you please expand the "Test Board" folder in your screenshots? I notice that there is no name in the viewport above the problematic artboard. Can you also open the node graph and include a screenshot of that, please?

Please post an image of your node graph, showing all nodes but hopefully still zoomed in enough that everything is legible.

I was able to right click on the node and "display as layer" and it seems to be working correctly.

I don't know how I broke it, I didn't go into the node graph until you asked me too :)

I see, the behavior you were seeing would make sense if it was being displayed as a standard node instead of a layer. I think that probably would have occurred because you possibly clicked to expose one of its parameter inputs using the little triangular dot button left of each row in the Properties panel, if I had to guess. That makes me realize that this is perhaps a dangerously breakable button in the specific case of an artboard. I'll need to think about some design changes that might be possible to avoid that footgun. Thanks for accidentally stumbling upon that and then reporting as you went.
