Top properties menu not working on Text / curve tools

Currently on both the desktop and web versions of Graphite, I cannot use the top properties bar to update colours, fonts, sizes, etc. Only when I use the Properties window on the right do the changes actually apply.

Is this intentional? like for when you first create an object or is this a bug? If it's intentional, it needs to be made more clear. Otherwise, this bug should be fixed ASAP.

It is intentional but it is not desired, and will be changed in the near future so it does act as you were expecting. I'll keep this issue open until the change is made. Thanks!

Actually I'll close this issue since it is probably going to get lost but the change will be made in the near future as part of a larger set of changes related to this.
