I build declick, a compiler that turns an OpenAPI spec, an MCP server, a SQLite file or any binary's --help into a small CLI with one output envelope and fixed exit codes. Different goal than this project. You generate a real CLI per app with an agent, I compile whatever surface already exists. So I tried pointing it at your stuff instead of competing with it.
Both worked first try.
cli-hub listprints 9,533 bytes. Through the adapter that read is 450 bytes, six rows plus a count of 176, and the rest is one --limit away. For an agent that difference is context it gets to keep. Mutating verbs (install, update, uninstall) go through a guard and every call lands in an audit log, which is the part I actually care about. Then a generated harness:
Two things I hit, neither is a complaint, just what I found.
Nested Click groups. I read one level of --help, so
diagramandprojectcompile as verbs and the subcommand rides in as a positional after--. Flags still reach the child. Fine, but I can't validate them.Session state lives in the process.
project openthendiagram setin two separate calls gives "No project is open", so a single shot agent can't chain them, only the REPL can. Worth flagging on the harness page for anyone writing agent loops instead of sitting in the REPL.Small bug while I was there:
cli-anything-mermaid diagram showwith no project open raises RuntimeError and dumps a Python traceback instead of exiting with a message. Exit code is 1 so it is detectable, it just looks like a crash. Not asking for anything. Figured the overlap was worth writing down since a few people asked me if these are the same thing. They aren't, and the registry works fine as an input.
