The "Cooked and Stable (probably)" Update
Finally letting go of perfectionism to proudly say: "Yep, this is 1.0." The original plan got yeeted鈥攖his release now tackles the last known bugs and polishes up existing features. Think of it like house cleaning before inviting everyone over. After this, I can finally chase the mythical "I鈥檓 never updating Oceanya client, it always breaks when I update" user review (every dev's true dream).
New fancy stuff might take a while since motivation is as stable as AO's server responses, but I'll still jump on quick bugfixes and QoL tweaks whenever it is requested.
Now, let's see what changed:
Bugfixes:
- Webp, jpeg, and apng images no longer blow up the Oceanya Client. (Explosion-free images, yay!)
- Fixed webp background bug (see previous exploding-images note).
- Fixed single-state button bug: Buttons that didn't have two states weren't recognized. Now they are. Buttons rejoice!
QoL Improvements:
- After INISwap, your cursor jumps straight to the IC textbox (you're welcome, roleplayers).
- Dropdown navigation now works smoothly with arrow keys. (Because clicking is soooo last update.)
- Alt Gr key won't randomly trigger keybinds anymore. (No more accidental chaos.)
- Supercharged asset refresh: Drastically optimized asset refreshing speed once already loaded. Trust me, you'll notice.
- INI auto-refresh: Switching INIs auto-refreshes just that INI. Basically, changes to the character folder update automatically when switching, just like good old AO intended.
New Features:
- Tab Switching: Pressing Tab swaps between IC and OOC messages, and shownames too. Request courtesy of your favorite soon-to-be-forever-GM dredd.
- Server Console button is now a legit server console button. It鈥檚 nerd stuff, don't worry about it unless you're curious.
- SFX Dropdown (basic) (It鈥檚 here, it's basic, but it's finally functional!)
