Crop doesn't get applied to all videos, when batch converting

The title says it. When I select a folder with the batch option, and then use custom crop settings, these only get applied to the first video in the queue, the others still with their original size.

This is the correct behaviour.

You'd need to create your own preset and store picture settings as part of that with your custom crop if you want the same crop defined across all items added to the queue.

When you change source / title, settings are based on the current preset, not the last used settings. The preset acts as the rules that get applied to define how each item should be configured.

Isn't handbrake using some sort of double standards then?

I did 2 tests:
For both I selected a folder to batch scan, and then I chose a preset (Fast 480p40) for both. This preset has, by default a .mp4 format.

1 - For the first test, after selecting the preset, I just changed the container type to .mkv . If I understood correctly what you said, this should only apply to the selected video and not the entire batch. However, all videos in the batch were converted to .mkv.

2- For the second test, after selecting the preset, I set a cropping. However, only one of the images in the batch got cropped.

It seems to me that this behaviour is not consistent? Or what am I missing?
