Problem Description
This might be pretty specific but something I've only just started experiencing in 1.11.0 on Windows 11.
Any and all passthru tracks when Autoname is enabled get named "Surround" even if they are stereo or mono tracks. The only way it properly detects a track as one of the two other options of "Stereo" and "Mono" is if you transcode the audio to another Mixdown using that dropdown menu. For example, DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 to AC-3 Surround, it'll say Surround. If you change Mixdown to Stereo it'll rename it to Stereo, and the same goes for Mono renaming it to Mono. However if I were to just passthru the track with Autonaming enabled, it'll rename it "Surround" despite being 2.0.
I already have the tracks named appropriately prior to import but it appears the names Surround, Stereo and Mono are "protected" or "reserved" for lack of a better term (sorry I'm not a programmer) so the Passthru option just leaves it blank when Autoname is left off.
Is there any way to reverse this change so it allows "Stereo" and "Mono" to be detected for autonaming again or to allow "Stereo" and "Mono" to be passed through as audio track names when Autonaming is left off?
Thanks for all the hard work on Handbrake. In my few years this is the only issue I've had (besides the current .NET issue that's already being handled in the next release).
Activity Log, Crash Log or any other details
I don't have logs that show this issue.
