The primary challenge was implementing smooth real-time preview updates without performance degradation. I solved this using a debounced rendering approach that delays the preview update until the user stops typing for 300ms, preventing excessive DOM re-renders. Additionally, managing state persistence with localStorage while handling import/export operations required careful coordination between the file system API and browser storage.

Building this project deepened my understanding of DOM manipulation, event handling, and code parsing. I learned how to structure a project for maintainability and gained insights into the complexities of implementing IDE-like features from scratch.
