Hiding shift button from a custom layout

I am using a custom Arabic layout (PC 101) built using text file format. For some reason the shift button is still there. I wonder how can I hide it.

Currently there is a hardcoded list of layouts that don't use a shift key. This is likely to change in the next version as part of being able to customize the layout of shift/delete/space/... keys.
