- Show Key Hints Displays long-press popup hints above keys that have additional characters or symbols.
- Select Hint Source
Choose where the popup hints (symbols shown above keys) should come from.
Useful if you're using custom layouts or want hints from a specific dictionary/layout. - Select Popup Key Order
Choose the order of symbols shown when long-pressing a key.
You can customize this based on typing habits or layout preference. - Show Functional Hints
Displays subtle indicators if long-pressing a key triggers special functionality (e.g., emoji panel, layout switch). - Show TLD Popup Keys
When typing email or web addresses, this replaces the period (.) popup with top-level domains like.com,.org,.net. - Pop-up on Key Press
Briefly shows a preview popup above the key you press. Improves typing accuracy by confirming input visually. - Vibrate on Keypress
Adds haptic feedback when pressing keys.
Toggle this if you prefer tactile feedback while typing. - Sound on Keypress
Plays a soft sound with each key press.
You can toggle this for more audio feedback or silent operation.
- Show Emoji Description on Long Press
Shows the description (name) of an emoji when long-pressing it.
Requires an emoji dictionary to be installed.
- Number Row
Adds a permanent number row at the top of the keyboard, regardless of the selected layout.
Useful if you type numbers frequently and don’t want to switch to the symbols layout. - Language Switch Key
Adds a globe key for switching between input languages. -
Language switch key behavior
Choose what happens when you press the language key: - Emoji Key
Adds a dedicated emoji key to quickly open the emoji panel.
Can be enabled alongside or instead of the language switch key. - Remove Redundant Popups
Suppresses popup keys that already exist on the base layout.
For example: if your layout already includes@, it won’t be repeated in the period (.) popup menu.

Enable clipboard history
When enabled, HeliBoard saves recent copied text and lets you paste it via the clipboard key.- If disabled, pressing the clipboard key will simply paste the latest clipboard content.

History retention time
Choose how long clipboard entries are stored before being cleared.- Default: 10 minutes
