Java.net Connect Exception

I'm presently faced with an issue that just recently occured with Helioviewer (a couple of days ago). When inputting a new layer, HMI continuum in this case, I have to wait like 15 seconds, and afterwards I get the following error message:

Java.net Connect Exception Connection timed out: getsockopt:jpips: helioviewer.org: 8090/movies/SDO_HMI_continuum

Everything was working perfectly well until this happened. Could this issue have anything to do with my VPN? Like said, everything was perfect until this showed up a couple of days ago. Would appreciate an input as to all of this. Sincere thanks!

Dear Roger,
It's not about your network configuration, this is happening for all of us :)
The GSFC server was moved to a new building and network and it's not yet fully functional.

In the meanwhile, you could use the IAS server.
Hope this is solved soon.

We are aware of the issue and working on it. For now the workaround is to use sources other than GSFC when adding layers in JHelioviewer.
