You won Repository Radar's Understory of the Month 🦀

[ahkdees]

Hey 👋

I write Repository Radar, a newsletter that curates and tracks open source projects. Every month we hand out a slightly nerdy award called Understory of the Month, and for September, the DeepSeek-TUI community won it.

Quick translation: it goes to the project shipping the most relative to the attention it gets. You ship more than almost anything we track, and the stars haven't caught up yet. People are sleeping on how much you build.

A few things for you, if useful:

• Your page with the live numbers: repositoryradar.dev/repo/hmbown/codewhale
• An "Understory of the Month" badge on that page, yours to drop in the README
• The latest issues goes live tomorrow on the Substack

No ask, no catch. Keep shipping! 🚢🚢🚢

WOW, that’s awesome!

Just a heads-up, it’s now called CodeWhale instead of DeepSeek-TUI.

Got it and will update!

Haha, thank you!

I really love this project, but the information about it out there is way too messy—some people call it DeepSeek-TUI, some call it CodeWhale, to the point that casual observers and AI often treat the two as separate projects...

Of course, I’m not blaming you; I’m just pointing it out. Using CodeWhale is the more official and better choice.
