• Have you built your formula locally with HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API=1 brew install --build-from-source <formula>, where <formula> is the name of the formula you're submitting?
• Is your test running fine brew test <formula>, where <formula> is the name of the formula you're submitting?
• Does your build pass brew audit --strict <formula> (after doing HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API=1 brew install --build-from-source <formula>)? If this is a new formula, does it pass brew audit --new <formula>?

The GitHub repository for crunchy-cli was archived on 2024-07-04. Before this, the README was updated to contain the following message:

This project has been sunset as Crunchyroll moved to a DRM-only system. See crunchy-labs/crunchy-cli#362.

This deprecates the formula accordingly.

Looking at the linked issue, it sounds like the software isn't functional anymore due to Crunchyroll changes, so I'm not sure if this would be a scenario where we disable the formula instead.

(former) maintainer here. The commands that were used by the vast majority of people (-> downloading videos) doesn't work anymore. There is a command left which crawls metadata that isn't affected by the changes, so deprecating the formula instead of disabling was probably the better choice.
