Backend engineer focused on building reliable, maintainable systems. I spend most of my time writing Go, wiring up infrastructure, and occasionally making things fail in ways nobody anticipated.

• Go — primary language, day-to-day work
• Python — scripting, automation, glue code
• Shell — because sometimes that's just the right tool
• Docker / Linux — standard operating environment
• PostgreSQL — usually the database in question

• DevOps and infrastructure tooling
• CLI tools that do one thing well
• Distributed systems (the boring, reliable kind)

Working on a small CLI tool for managing local dev environments. Nothing fancy, just scratching an itch.

Also slowly working through some distributed systems reading — Designing Data-Intensive Applications has been on the shelf long enough.
