Setting up Dashcast

Hi Guys
Fantastic work in hacking my Echo Show. Love it so far.
But I cant seem to get the hang of a streamed dash using Dashcast.

Ive read all the brief guides but no joy....

Dashcast is installed in HA but thats about it.
I’ve tried to perform an action but can’t quite figure out the yaml

Any help would be great, thanks

Sorry for the slow answer! Dashcast isn't installed inside Home Assistant: it's a small Docker container that runs a headless Chrome next to HA. The steps are in dashcast/README.md:

1. Make a non-admin HA user for it, sign in once as that user, and create a long-lived access token in its profile under Security.
2. Put HA_TOKEN= (that token) and DASHCAST_KEY= (any long random string) in a .env file, set HA_URL in docker-compose.yml, then docker compose up -d.
3. On the Show's setup page, open the Connections tab, and under Dashboard server enter host:9555 and the same key. If you'd rather use an action, in Developer Tools → Actions:

4. Set Dashboard to Streamed and pick the dashboard in Dashboard to show.

In v1.6.9, saving the dashboard server on the setup page tries it right away and says whether it's connected, can't be reached, or didn't take the key.
