Would it be possible to restore it as read-only?

At this moment the HuMo-genenalogy website is under attack with thousands of bots.
I had to disable the demo website and PHPBB forum to prevent downside of my website.
I don't have any bandwith available at my hosting provider to enable these websites this month.

Another reason the forum was disabled: it takes quit some time to allow new users, remove old users and messages, create backups, update the PhpBB forum. And bots seems to like this forum. so every few weeks thousands of bots visits the forum.
It's just too much work too maintain this forum.

The forum is still available in a hidden place, so it's possible for me to solve some last items.
