I haven’t used this project yet because I’m waiting for more optimizations or an AI bubble burst so I get a GPU, but assuming this truly emulates the 3DS, pretendo should work.

I just saw this, sorry for the kind of late reply. But there will never be a way to play on Pretendo Network without a real device Every Wii U and 3DS ships with console-unique files that are signed by Nintendo at the factory. Only Nintendo has the private key to sign these files, but the public key to verify the signatures is, well, public. Every time either console goes online, it sends these console-unique files and their signatures to the server Our servers verify the legitimacy of these files using the public key and use that data as a unique identifier for the console (which is also why you shouldn't share these files with other people, since they would allow them to impersonate your console and potentially get you banned), as a form of security and moderation. Checking the signatures helps us filter out trivial abuse (like random people trying to spam the API) and perform essential moderation tasks like console bans, so we won't be removing this. We did, at one point, allow connections without these files but it was almost immediately abused and so we had to enable the checks |
Yep. There's no way this can generate actual hardware unique keys. Even if it's supposed to be so accurate. |
Uh oh!

Anyone tried to install pretendo without a real n3ds? Only using the 3Beans LLE?
