INSPIRE Geoportal will be discontinued after 1 July 2026

Dear community of the INSPIRE Geoportal,

with this message, and as already communicated to the INSPIRE MIG-T during the 84th meeting (see the relevant slides), we would like to inform that the INSPIRE Geoportal will be discontinued after 1 July 2026.

By this date, the geoportal content will be fully integrated with data.europa.eu, single entry point for EU data operated by the Publications Office of the European Union.

Support to Member States for the metadata migration will continue through Phase 2 of the ISO & GeoDCAT-AP Pilot. All Member States are welcome to participate in the pilot.

Although no further enhancements to the geoportal tools are foreseen, they will remain available as open source (harvester console / user interface).

Please make sure this message is properly distributed to the relevant organisations/implementers that might be affected.
