I have contacted the support of EU-Nomen and their response was: While it is true that there is currently no formal budget/project that funds PESI/EU-Nomen, VLIZ will keep on maintaining the infrastructure as-is & in-kind. therefore I close this issue. |

@Dnoack49 thank you for sharing EU-Nomen reply. I think this is interesting for the community, so I am now converting this issue into discussion for more visibility. |

Dear all,
we are currently working on the INSPIRE schema transformation of species data in the German State of Brandenburg. These belong to the annex theme "Species Distribution".
For the data transformation in to the feature type
SpeciesDistributionUnit, the interoperable INSPIRE implementation specification requires an assignment to 3 possible code lists for the attributesreferenceSpeciesSchemeandreferenceSpeciesID- eitherEU-Nomen,EUNIS, orNatura2000. Since EU-Nomen contains the most entries, it is recommended to use it.Now, I have received information from colleagues that the EU-Nomen database / website is no longer maintained and that entries for species are no longer being updated. Iam not sure if that is correct. Could you please confirm the current status and get back to me?
Kind regards
