A subglacial hydrology layer between basal ice and bedrock can uplift the glacier, altering the glacier driving stress. This addition includes the calculation of the hydrology layer thickness based on the hydrology sheet thickness (0 if the hydrology sheet thickness is smaller than the bedrock bump height and the difference between the hydrology sheet thickness and the bedrock bump height otherwise) in the driving stress calculation in the SSA (stressbalance).
